Not Much Left of FLW's Gold Coast Love Nest

New, 1 comment

The now fully-flattened former Gold Coast love nest of Frank Lloyd Wright is no longer an obstacle for the property's new owners, who plan on building something nice for themselves on the site. Purchased earlier this year for $1.5M, the structure never had a chance thanks to damage sustained during construction of the neighboring 3-story mansion in 2007. The 1880s coach house, briefly the site of Wright's trysts, was never landmarked which fed the controversy over its demolition.
