Radically Rebuilt Lincoln Park Home Sells for $1.375M

This contemporary transformation of a snappy old brick Victorian sold yesterday for $1,375,000 to a lucky buyer. The rest of you'll have to wait to see what gems the market churns out next. The listing claims the 4-bed was priced to sell, and looking back to 2002 when it went for $1,812,000, we'd have to agree. There's really no indication once inside (apart from dimensions) that this is an old structure. Public records date the house to 1886, but seemingly every surface has been re-contoured and every space jammed with modern amenities: Recessed lighting, a lofted solarium, spiral staircase and a film projector, to name a few. There's also a roof deck and side garden. But we think the clincher might have been the 3-car garage. There's a lot of car nuts in this town.
