Steve Jobs' Unrealized Home Design

New, 2 comments

With the passing of Steve Jobs, it was inevitable we'd all be dissecting his life for many months. One facet of this is unfinished business. As reported last year by Gizmodo, Jobs had plans for a smallish, very private utilitarian home on the site of his now-demolished Italianate mansion in Woodside, CA. Maybe you've already heard? The relatively modest unbuilt structure would have been less than one-third the size of the old mansion, at a cost of $8.45M. The blueprints emphasize outdoor space, with several decks, a vegetable garden, surrounded by wooded acreage. Will it ever get built? Who knows? Perhaps family will see it through. [Gizmodo]
