360 W Hubbard: 450 More Apartments for River North

New, 34 comments

We just heard it from a tipster, who heard it from the River North Residents Association (RNRA), that the developer of the lot at 360 W Hubbard just made a large donation to render-land. Now we're bringing it to your attention. To refresh, the plan is for a 43-story apartment building with an adjacent 8-story parking structure (which, in the rendering, you can see sheepishly tucked behind the tower). Developer Habitat Company, and architect Solomon Cordwell Buenz (SCB) are throwing in a small public park at Hubbard and Kingsbury and a dog run at Illinois, presumably as concessions. SCB also built the Kingsbury Plaza tower, located just around the corner. Both channel Manhattan's 'Lipstick' Building, though not terribly well. The 450-unit tower will offer an outdoor pool and 400 parking spaces (yikes!). The RNRA lists the construction start for next month.
