The March to Gambling

New, 1 comment

Gov. Pat Quinn vowed today to veto the much debated casino legislation in its current form, reports NBC. He countered with a scaled-down plan that whittles permitted locations from 14 down to 5, disallowing any airport, racetrack, or state fair casinos, but granting Chicago its very own. Often portrayed as an ideological showdown between Quinn and the Legislature (with a little Rahm tag-team), it seems like Quinn has long since capitulated to the jackals, who want only to make profit or plug budget gaps.
