New Zoning Ordinance for Urban Farms?

Mayor Daley has proposed a new zoning ordinance for urban farms, which City Hall says is aimed at "nourishing urban agriculture," but city farmers don't see it that way. The ordinance would finally recognize commercial farm in the zoning code, but it would also place new requirements for fencing, site preparation and food processing on farms. Local farmers say those costs will put them out of business. [Trib]
