We spend most of our time drooling at luxury listings here at the Curbed HQ, so let's take a break from the high end and direct our attention to a slightly more modest dwelling. A tipster sent us a link to their lofty, hipster chic 2BD, 1BA East Village apartment, which is up for rent March 1. ("March 15th would be acceptable too," says the Craigslist ad.) We must confess, we like what we see. To complement the exposed brick, the place has newer cabinetry, counters and bathroom vanity, and it comes with in-unit washer/dryer and a dishwasher. Not too shabby for $1,375 per month. The only downside: Parking isn't offered, although the ad claims that street parking is plentiful. The place is located in a funky old bank building at Chicago and Paulina, just down the street from the future Chicago Bowl and Bleeding Heart / Roots. Any takers?
