Last week, Crain's published a firewalled story cataloging nine planned rental high-rises that are either under construction or slated to break ground soon. The list included a 500-unit high-rise next to the Swissotel on Wacker Drive. Magellan Development is still working to secure financing for the building, but VP of development Brian Gordon says they're hoping to break ground in June. Renderings haven't been released yet, but Brininstool, Kerwin and Lynch (BKL) is designing the building. [CurbedWire]
