The folks at HomeVestors (the company behind those charming "We Buy Ugly Houses" billboards) teamed up with CNN Money and compiled a list of some of the most egregious home renovation mishaps they've come across. The best, perhaps, is this home in Hampton Roads, VA, with an outside basement that opens into a big open pit (pictured). "We lose more real estate agents that way," says HomeVestors CEO David Hicks.
