860 Lake Shore Drive 4BD Drops $480K in Less than One Year

New, 2 comments

You never know what you'll find when you look at listings in Mies van der Rohe's 860-880 Lake Shore Drive Apartments. Some look dated and run-down; others are modern and chic; and some, like this one, march to the beat of their own drum (a disco beat, we assume). This 4BD, 3BA party pad comprises three combined units spanning 5,000 square feet on the 24th floor of 860 North Lake Shore. We're not sure how many people live there now, but that table is surrounded by 12 hot pink chairs, and it looks like the sofa could seat almost twice that. Most of the apartment has an open floor plan, separated by big fire-engine-red plastic room dividers. Despite the throwback look, the place appears to have been updated recently, with new flooring and kitchen appliances. It was first listed last April at $1.875 million, and it has since been reduced to $1.395 million.
