AVONDALEUrban Belly is ready for its close up. A crew from the Cooking Channel's Unique Eats show spent 10 hours on Thursday filming Bill Kim's modern noodle and dumpling house for an episode scheduled to air in March.

IRVING PARK—Need a brand new place with a great beer selection and quality upscale bar food on the near Northwest Side to watch the Super Bowl? Leader Bar, from the owners of Uberstein and Crobar, will open that weekend in time for the big game.

LAKEVIEW—Sad news hit Chicago's restaurant and bar scene when we learned that Ric Hess, the affable owner of Sheffield's, suffered a heart attack and passed away at the bar Monday night. Our condolences go out to his family and loved ones.
