To get his $5.625 million salary off the books, the Blackhawks have been shopping goaltender Cristobal Huet's services around the league. In response, Huet has placed his 4,771-square-foot River North condo on the market. That a backup goalie listed a condo is itself hardly newsworthy, but some of the upgrades he made to the 5BR home are rather intriguing.
The Huets have made several improvements during their brief ownership of it, including converting part of the top-floor greenhouse to another bedroom and bath, placing a hockey rink in the sunroom, installing double blinds and adding the hot tub.Really? A hockey rink? The listings do describe a solarium, which Huet has apparently converted to a rink with a pair of adorably tiny little goals. He also added a seven-person Hydropool hot tub to the 320-square-foot private terrace. The condo is currently listed for $3 million. ·Hawks goalie's goal: Sell condo [Trib]
