Shoddy Workmanship

A little over a year has passed since the Art Institute of Chicago opened its $294-million Renzo Piano-designed Modern Wing, and it's already falling apart. The Art Institute is looking at about $10 million in repairs due to shoddy workmanship, according to a lawsuit filed yesterday. The problems include cracks in the floor, condensation in the vestibule and a faulty air-conditioning system. [Chicago Breaking News]
