Previously, we were speaking figuratively if we referred to the Michael Reese Hospital complex and proposed Olympic Village as "radioactive." Turns out, radioactive chemicals have actually been found on the site. But don't worry, says Kim Worthington from the city's Department of Environment, "you would have to be eating the dirt regularly to have it affect you."
