Tracking Chicago's Coyote Population

New, 2 comments

First there was the Quiznos coyote; then, a coyote wandered into the Cook County Jail; and most recently, a coyote was seen roaming around State Street. By now, it's pretty well known that the city has brought in these wild canines to deal with other pests. About 60 of them patrol the streets at night, and researchers have been keeping track of where they roam via tracking devices. By the looks of things, it appears that most of the coyote action is near O'Hare, around Elk Grove Village and Schaumburg. [NPR]
