While residents of the city's South and West sides bemoan the lack of quality grocery options and North Siders are assaulted by invading grocery stores, North Shore residents face a different, but equally disturbing problem: Vanishing fast food options! Yesterday's announcement that the Old Orchard Mall would be replacing its food court with organic and sustainable food eateries and a grocery store prompted YoChicago's Joe Zekas to warn that the northern 'burbs are becoming a fast food desert.
