Over the years, the @properties brain trust has worked pretty hard at positioning VB1224 as the spot for young professionals and sexy singles. But despite recent closeout pricing, the developer still hasn't managed to sell the building out, and there are still a bunch of resale units on the market. The main rub on the development is its location right on top of the Eisenhower Expressway. However, that affects only about half of the units, and this 2BD, 1.5BA short sale is located on the more serene north-facing side. The unit was sold in 2007 for $265,000, and it came back on the market in July for $255,000. Despite the "high-end finshs & cool upgrds," buyers weren't buying it, and the price has come down considerably. Six price reductions have brought it down $105K, to the list price of $150,000. The listing also claims there's "EZ str pkg," but in that part of the West Loop you'll probably want to go ahead and buy a parking space.
