OK, folks: Here it is, the moment you've all been waiting for. You can stop hitting "refresh" on that Uptown vs. Logan Square contest now, because it's all wrapped up. Uptown rallied late, sending Logan Square home empty-handed and earning itself a place in the Curbed Cup 2010 finals! In the other semifinal contest, the South Loop downed Lincoln Square. So now, in an historic matchup, our two lowest-ranked neighborhoods, #7-ranked South Loop and #8-ranked Uptown, will face off for the all-important 2010 Neighborhood of the Year title.
It's no coincidence that the two neighborhoods advancing to the finals have some of the most active neighborhood blogs in the city. In Uptown, Uptown Update rules the blogosphere; in the South Loop, it's Sloopin. Next week we'll test each neighborhood's get-out-the-vote ability. Now let's go eat a goddamn snack.
