LINCOLN PARK: Matt Damon and a small group checked out Kith & Kin Thursday night for dinner. The A-list actor, in town filming Contagion, keeps popping up at different restaurants and the word is that the guy loves to eat and couldn't be nicer.
BUCKTOWN: A month after losing star chefs Rob & Allie Levitt, Mado just lost another. Brandon Baltzley, who took over the kitchen just two days after the Levitts bolted, walked out this week and took his entire staff with him.
DOWNTOWN: Chicago may just get another realty star chef. Russell Kook, sous chef at the recently opened Florentine, landed in the top two and is going to finals on Gordon Ramsay's Hell's Kitchen. The show airs next Wednesday on Fox.
WEST TOWN: While it won't open until 2012, plans are moving ahead for the team behind New York's Brooklyn Bowl to replicate the concept in Chicago. Once completed, Chicago Bowl will be a multi-tiered entertainment venue with bowling, live music and Chicago's first Blue Ribbon restaurant.
