Behold the (possible) future of the closed Lincoln Park hospital building. Via YoChicago and SkyscraperCity we bring you new renderings of Sandz Development's plans for Webster Square, a mixed-use development that will transform the 12-story hospital building into a 120-unit condo building flanked by 40 new-construction condos, a new grocery store, and 95,000 square feet of health and wellness and professional office space. There will be no height increase to the existing hospital buildings; instead, it looks like the residential building will be clad with brick, and the rendering of the office building looks virtually the same as the existing structure. On the north side of the block, existing buildings along Grant Pl will be demolished to make way for The Flats, the 40-unit low-rise development. Parts of the demolished buildings on Grant will be diverted from landfills and reused, according to the website. Across the street from the main hospital buildings, Sandz will open The Fresh Market, a boutique grocer that promises to stock locally-sourced and organic produce. The development will feature 50,000 square feet of green space, according to the website.
