Englewood: Rebounding or Regressing?

Englewood residents face an uphill battle in fighting negative perception of their 'hood. This audio slide show with a double negative in the title, "Englewood: Not Always Up to No Good", highlights some of the positive things that are happening in the neighborhood, like anti-violence programs. On the flip side, the blog ChicagoElections2011 offers a photo essay of trash found on the streets of Englewood with this quote from Michael Carroll, candidate for 46th Ward Alderman: "if you want to know if there's crime in an area, don't look up but down."
