New, 2 comments

CurbedWire is a roundup of new developments and real estate gossip around Chicago. Got some news or gossip? We want to hear it: chicago@curbed.com

NEW EAST SIDE: It looks like Village Market, Magellan Development's 105,000 square-foot retail development at Lakeshore East, is coming along nicely. When finished, the development will feature a 55,000 square-foot grocery store and a cafe. In places, cement for two of Village Market's three stories have already been poured, and some glass on the east side has already been installed. [CurbedWire Staff]

DOUGLAS: Construction on the new 31st Street marina is moving forward. Blacktop for a temporary bike path has been poured, and construction on the breakwater has begun (click here to see video). When complete, the new marina will include a new promenade, playground and restaurant. [Steven Can Plan]
