Down with Condo Associations?

New, 4 comments

Privatopia author and UIC prof Evan McKenzie made an appearance on WBEZ this morning, talking about the flawed system of condo associations. "The owners have this fragmented ownership interest, where you have 30 or 40 different owners," he told Alison Cuddy. "The ownership and control and occupancy get more and more complicated, and this is a very interdependent relationship, so you end up with 30, 40 people trying to run a multi-unit building, and there isn't one person in the building — not one owner — who knows anything about it."
