Greektown's Odyssey Lofts Rebranded, Relaunched as 770 Lofts

New, 1 comment

The good news: You'll probably never have to look at those "If you lived here you would be homer by now" banners from the Kennedy Expressway again. In July, only 15 of The Odyssey's 62 lofts had been sold, and the developer owed more than $17 million to the bank. After a foreclosure suit was filed against W Developments, vulture investor Speedwagon Properties acquired the 62-unit building and sold it off to a different investor. Now, a new development page has appeared on the @properties website touting six floors of timber lofts and two floors of new-construction. The address has also changed from 775 W. Jackson Blvd. to 770 W. Gladys Ave., which is a dead-end side street off Halsted in Greektown. The prices have also come down from 2008 levels. 1BD now start in the $170s ($240s in '08), 1BD + dens start in the $220s ($250s in '08) and 2BDs now start in the $270s (down from the $340s).
