If you love horses and Prairie Style architecture, and if you have an extra million or two laying around, you might want to clear your calendar for December 2. Why? Because on that day, auctioneer Sheldon Good & Company will auction off a massive estate in the Chicago suburb of Elburn. (If you can reach it by Metra, it counts as a suburb, right?) For most of us, this place is far enough out of reach that it belongs firmly in the realm of fantasy, but it never hurts to look. The 7,400 square-foot home looks pretty stunning, and it comes with a 2BD, 2BA guest house and a pool house, according to a press release. The house sits on a 40-acre equestrian estate that includes a six-stable barn, indoor and outdoor riding arenas, and six fenced paddocks. At the same auction, 240 acres of farmland will be sold as well. Sheldon Good has set up a website with some more aerial photos of the properties and a list of viewing dates.
