Hooray for Chicago and our kick-ass residential buildings! The Buckingham Building, an old art deco high-rise-turned-dorm-building in the South Loop, and University Commons, the loft conversion of former warehouses in University village, both received preservation awards from Landmarks Illinois over the weekend.
