Garrett Kelleher, the Irish developer of the stillborn Chicago Spire, hasn't been returning calls this week, Sun-Times business reporter David Roeder managed to get in touch with Thomas Murphy, his Chicago lawyer. Murphy insists that the project isn't dead, and that Kelleher is looking for local and international investors to resuscitate the 2,000-foot tower. But, as Roeder points out, "an investor has every incentive to wait for the foreclosure, then buy the property for a pittance and not have Kelleher in the picture at all." [Sun-Times]
