One of the many apartment and retail projects along the busy Blue Line that was proposed last will soon land on Division Street. The six-story project from Centrum Partners received a permit last week to begin building out the foundation and superstructure for the Hirsch Associates-designed building. And similar to many of the projects coming to the Blue Line, this 60-unit project will be a sanctioned transit-oriented development and will feature 30 below-grade parking spaces. The developer originally proposed 77 apartments and 12,000-square-feet of ground level retail in a seven-story building over a year ago. Now with this project and several others breaking ground, the Milwaukee Avenue development boom is now being realized.
UPDATE: This story has been updated to reflect the latest renderings of the project.
