With a piddly nine-percent price reduction, it doesn't quite deserve the distinction of the PriceChopper, but any movement at the hallowed ground of the original Playboy Mansion is worth a mention. Let's bring you up to speed: Hugh Hefner bought the big Victorian mansion at 1340 N. State Pkwy. in 1959 and continued using it for Playboy parties through the '70s, when the Art Institute of Chicago acquired it for student housing. Then, in the mid-'90s, the 72-room mansion was rehabbed and divided into seven condos. One of those, a 3,900-square-foot, 3BD, 3.5BA first-floor unit, which had originally been purchased for $1 million in 1999, hit the market in April for $2.9 million. Last week, that unit was reduced to $2.75 million. How much more do you thin that price will have to come down before it sells?
